Thinking. The Museum of the Present. an Algorithmic State
WE HAVE BECOME CURATORS OF ENDLESS DIGITAL MUSEUMS, FEEDING THE ALGORITHM WITH CONTENT WE’LL NEVER REVISIT. THE FEAR OF DISAPPEARING DRIVES SELF-SURVEILLANCE, TURNING ABSENCE INTO IRRELEVANCE. YET, SOME MIGHT BEGIN TO REJECT THE CYCLE, EMBRACING OBSCURITY AND IMPERMANENCE.
PERHAPS THE NEXT TRUE REBELLION LIES IN STEPPING BEYOND THE ALGORITHMIC GAZE.

THINKING. A Sterile Collapse. A Recession Without Rebellion Revelry or Whimsy.
ECONOMIC CRISES HAVE ALWAYS SPARKED REBELLION, BUT TODAY’S DOWNTURN IS MET WITH A SHIFT TOWARDS INDIVIDUALISM AND SELF-OPTIMISATION. WITH WELLNESS CULTURE DOMINATING, THE COMMUNAL SPACES AND HEDONISTIC OUTLETS THAT ONCE FOSTERED CREATIVE RESISTANCE HAVE VANISHED, LEAVING US IN A STERILE, HYPER-DISCIPLINED WORLD.
IN AN AGE WHERE DISCIPLINE IS KING, PERHAPS THE MOST RADICAL ACT WILL BE TO ONCE AGAIN EMBRACE CHAOS.

Thinking: Exhaustion Aesthetics: Visual Language Burnout
Aesthetic movements have historically unfolded over decades, shaping cultural and artistic landscapes before gradually giving way to new styles. However, in today’s hyper-digital world, aesthetics shift at an unprecedented pace, leading to what can be called aesthetic fatigue—a saturation point where once-compelling visual styles become overused, emptied of meaning, and ultimately discarded. However a new style is again re-emerging - the aesthetics of exhaustion itself.

Thinking: Letting Go to Create Clarity.
Overcoming Attachment Bias in Creative Problem-Solving. How our work is perceived by the audience is of primary importance, both in personal artistic practices and within larger creative work environments. But we can often get blinded by our own aim for excellence. This blog explores the concept of ‘deleting your best work’

Thinking. The Path of the Creative: Staying True in a Shifting World.
THE PATH OF THE CREATIVE ISN’T ABOUT CONFORMING TO WHAT’S EXPECTED; IT’S ABOUT CHASING WHAT LIGHTS YOU UP, ASKING QUESTIONS THAT TRULY EXCITE YOU, AND CHECKING IN WITH YOURSELF REGULARLY TO SEE IF THE DIRECTION YOU’RE HEADING STILL FEELS RIGHT

The resulting series - "Fade to Filter" delve into the contemporary struggle of artists as they navigate the digital landscape, particularly through social media platforms. The title suggests a gradual decline or transformation, symbolised by the fading, while "filter" references both the literal filters used on social media platforms to enhance images and the metaphorical filters through which artists present themselves and their work online.
